Costumes are mandatory!

For our Annual Halloween Party the invitations always state, Costume Mandatory. It's part of the fun for the evening at our Halloween Home and there are people who plan their October around our party. Well, we do offer up some great prizes and the coveted Boney Hand Award!

Here are a few photos of some of the winners ...

Best Couples Costume Winners - the wings and hat did it for me.  I laughed so hard I almost choked.  Great stuff!

Most Original Costume.  And yes, the costume would make that nasty noise if you touched the tongs to the body part - just like the game!

I gave this costume Most Original Costume as I had no idea it was from a video game or something like that.  I've never seen it before so to me it was the most original!

This Killer Carrot (with Killer Carrot Wine in one hand and knife in the other) walked away with our Scariest Costume Award.  Who wants to want into a dark garden and find a Killer Carrot?  Not me!

And finally, the winner of the Boney Hand Award (the winner gets a small trophy and their costume details will be put on a plaque on the main trophy) is the EVIL JESTER.
This is one of the reasons why kids hate clowns of any kind!

...the party is over...

All the prep work and planning made our annual Halloween party a huge success. Our guests arrived in fabulous costumes and we provided the eerie music, a tricky quiz and some wonderful food and sweets.

I made signs for the food to help keep with the theme...

Tomorrow I'll share some photos of the costumes!

Trick or Treat - wipe your feet!

What a neat idea for a mat outside your door to welcome Trick or Treaters!   I love the red accent on the fangs.
