MyScaryBlog.com: Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Buzzkill

This is my go-to drink in the fall.  I eagerly await the ad saying that the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back and the fall season of fancy coffees and teas is back... and while this did give me a bit of a shock, I will still enjoy one (or two) a month :)

MyScaryBlog.com: Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Buzzkill: It's that time of year: the return of Starbuck's Pumpkin Spice Latte! If you're over 35 or need to watch your health, prepare yo...

Keep Calm...

The Keep Calm and Carry On slogan (and variations on that theme) has been over used IMHO. It's on everything from t-shirts to coasters to wall art. And while I still think it's over used it was nice to see this poster the other day while surfing the web...

and this one...

and this one I love and will likely CASE so that I can have it hanging in our Halloween Home.

Breakfast anyone?

Guess what is coming back for a short time frame?

No, not bell bottoms.

Nope, not crocheted toilet paper covers.

Give up?

General Mills monster-themed breakfast cereals (officially referred to collectively as the Cereal Monsters) are five current and formerly distributed breakfast cereal brands in North America.

The series includes Count Chocula, Franken Berry, and Boo Berry, and the formerly discontinued Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy. Typically, the first three listed are only available around Halloween and the last two haven't seen production in years.

According to Wikipedia: In August 2013, it was revealed on Dinosaur Dracula that for the first time in history, General Mills was releasing all five monster cereals (including the long discontinued Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy) for purchase during the Halloween season.

Additionally, special retro edition boxes of all five cereals with their original packaging art would be sold exclusively at Target.

This was the packaging back in the '70s

And for those who will be purchasing the new boxes, here is the view:

I don't eat sugary cereal anymore but I still want to get one of each so that I can have the boxes for our Halloween Home.  Way to go General Mills!  Bring back the Monsters!

It begins...

It has been decided that Halloween season officially begins on September 1 and lasts until 11:59 p.m., October 31. There is far too much to see, do, taste, touch, listen to, scare, hide and/or run from to contain within the 31 available days in October. Thank you for your cooperation.
