Over the past few months I have decided to learn to sew. Stop laughing. Yes, I heard you snicker.
It's not that I want to learn how to make my own silk trousers or construct a jacket with bat wings, I wanted to see if I could make some minions of my own. You know, to sit on the couch and look blankly at me when I ask the usual question: Do we need more bats or more skulls?
This is my workhorse of a machine. I have yet to run over my finger with the machine (I've heard that is a typical newbie issue) I have
learned that transferring an idea in my head is a lot harder to do with
fabric than my typical craft medium of paper.
Thankfully there are lots of videos and tutorials for those who are just learning.
While discussing my sewing adventure with my BFF a while back I came up with the name BEEVILS for my creations. It is a combo of Be Evil... you know, to keep with the Halloween theme we have going!
Here are the first two creations I made.
